Brazil revised bio-pesticide label
2011-7-28

Brazilian bio-pesticide product’s label does not need to show risk sign which is skull and crossbones logo on the package. IBAMA and ANVISA etc three departments have agreed to this change this month.

Ministry of Agriculture thinks this change will promote the usage of such pesticides. The bio-pesticides belong to concept pesticides so that they should not be called “same with chemicals” because they are using GAP protection which is conservation of biological diversity.

They believe that such a decision would promote the use of such pesticides.Brazil's IBAMA said they would give priority to low-toxicity pesticide chemicals registration, for example, the pesticide which is used on organic crop.
