2011-8-30

Recently, Prarathion is bound to be eliminated in Australia, It is reaching the destination soon. In no longer than two years Prarathion will be ban in whatever sales and use. The organic phosphorus insecticide / parathion-methyl will vanish in Australia from Jul 26th 2013. The owner of the certification is willing to recall the registration after long-term investigation.

Date back from year of 1996 APVMA called an investigation against the parathion-methyl for the purpose of safety and toxic residual worries. The National Registration Management Bureau released a draft censorship policy concentrated on whether it needed more dossiers to support the usage of this registration- parathion-methyl. And in 1999, the temporary registration of TECH formulation was adopted.

But now it seems it is not necessary to proceed this investigation. Parathion-methyl is sentenced to death anyway. At last but not least, the replacement is carved for by the consumer.

The pesticide market of Brazil has increased 5% in the first half 2011
2011-8-29

According to the statistics result by Sindag, in the first half of 2011, the pesticide saleroom has increased 5% in Brazil. Although saleroom of all the three kinds of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides, has decreased, the saleroom of plant growth regulators (PRGs) has increased a lot. The main target crops are sugarcane and cotton. As the price of cotton in international market keeps high, the planted area of cotton has increased 66%.

The best season for the pesticides sales in Brazil is from August to November. The planted area for soybean created history and reached 25 million hectares. So the demand of the pesticides used for soybean has increased a lot.

Another important reason for the sales increasing is the devaluing of USD. That makes the pesticides prices come down.
