Abamectin Forecasted To Cool Down In June
2009-6-10

The insecticide Abamectin is believed to reach its peak season in May. Price of technical product has been rocketed to over USD160 per kilogram last month as pushed by local market. Most marketers expected to see a significant fall in demand and production capacity after mid of June.

According to Abamectin's manufacturers, the market is highly-heated since April, the cool down process was slow. But latest forecast showed that as most local market gaps are filled up, the price will be slumping continuously in the following few months. As most formulators have kept enough stock for the year, local demand will see a significant decrease. As a matter of fact, manufacturers are putting high expectation for export sales rise in the following half year.

Due to climate change, the use of insecticides is much affected by the change in life cycle pattern of the insect community.
